3rd Runners-up of SAP Designathon:

Reducing unnecessary honking in traffic congestion

Traffic congestion poses a significant challenge, affecting mobility, productivity and general welfare of both a city and its inhabitants. From drivers to traffic police and nearby residents, everyone is being negatively impacted by the long hours they spend being surrounded by traffic.

Reducing traffic congestion in a city like Bengaluru for example, requires large level systemic and infrastructural efforts. So, instead, we decided to focus on the doable within the time we had -can we do something for the people who are stuck in traffic? This led us to problem of excessant honking in traffic- which is a major nuisance, mostly ignored but has long-term impact on people's health and the environment.
